untitled august 2021
Peace to all the late bloomers
Right packages at the wrong address
Moved ran and sprinted to new heights to be celebrated
Almost venerated
In a way that would give young them pause. Envy even.
Someone said "i imagine you as being popular in high school and i laughed"
Laughed in how incorrect they could be
Smiled in how much work I've done since
All the ones who left my orbit only to be drawn back by the fact that I'm out of reach
No longer in the place I was left
On a lonely pedestal that never gave my consent for
I turned that post into my vantage point
It let me see the scene and choose new ones
And arrive on the arm of shy guy instead
So all those who had me and lost themselves
All those tried boxing me in
All those who ran
